Ohio Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Renewal Procedure

The aide’s licensure will only be applicable for the specific circumstances approved by the board. If an aide wishes to renew their license, they must provide a request from their supervisor, as directed by the board, along with a comprehensive statement outlining any proposed changes to the initial plan. It is not permissible for an aide to work with an expired license.

If you need to create an account on the eLicense Ohio website to complete your license renewal, follow these steps:

• Go to elicense.ohio.gov
• Click the login / Create Your Account button in the center of the screen or the log-in link at the top-right corner of the page.
• Click the “I Have A License” button.
• Fill out the form with the appropriate information, including the security code provided by your licensing board.
• To get your security code, click the “Obtain Security Code” button and provide the email address or Social Security Number associated with your board account. The security code will then be sent to you via email.

To renew your license, you are required to complete a renewal application and remit a $50 fee to the Ohio Board. To prevent incurring an additional late fee of $120, which would increase the total fee to $170, be sure to renew your license before the due date.
