Oregon Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Renewal Procedure
SLPA licenses have a renewal deadline of December 31st in odd-numbered years. The expiration date is set for January 30th of the following year. The renewal fee is $100 if the application is submitted on time. After May 1st the fee is reduced to $65.
During the biennial renewal period, SLPAs must earn 10 hours of PD. One of those hours has to be spent on cultural competency.
The renewal portal opens in September (open the renewal portal here) and although licensees are unable to renew before that time, they can upload their professional development hours to their profile. The PD hours must be aligned with the board’s rules on topics, sponsors, and types of approved activities. If your hours don’t meet the standard set by the board they will not be counted towards your approved PD. Click here for more information on the Board’s professional development requirements.
