California’s reciprocity process is a pathway to licensure for those who are already licensed as an SLP in another U.S. state or territory. The process applies to temporary and permanent licenses.
Download a Request for License Verification or complete the form with the online application packet. Submit your fingerprints and for those applying for permanent licensure, send in your Praxis exam score and graduate program transcripts as well.
The reciprocity process fees are as follows:
CCCs can be used in place of graduate transcripts by entering your ASHA account number when prompted as you complete the application. Applications take about four weeks to process, and processing times increase during the busy season which runs from May to October. You can email the Board to request a status update.
