What's Here? - Table of Contents
The license for speech-language pathology assistants will expire on December 31st of every year. It must be renewed annually according to the rules and regulations set by the Board.
For first-time renewals, you must create an account by clicking “New User,” entering your email address, and registering. Then, follow the instructions to set up your account to renew online.
If you have renewed before, you must reset your password, which expires every 90 days. Click “Login Help” to reset your password or retrieve your username if you don’t remember it.
After your renewal is approved, you will receive an email. Next, log in to your account and select the “view/update/renew” option. Once on that page, click the “receipts” tab at the top. You will see the “print wallet card” link on the right-hand side of the page. Remember that you can only click this link once to print your license, so make sure your computer settings allow it to open.
Each calendar year, the license renewal fee is $85 and must be paid on or before December 31st. If you fail to pay the renewal fee before January 1st, you still have the right to renew the license, but the renewal fee will increase by 50% for each month or fraction thereof that the payment is delayed, up to three times the renewal fee ($255). However, if the renewal fee is not paid by January 1st, the license will expire until it is renewed.
The rules concerning continuing education requirements found in section 10-3-8 of Title 690 will also apply to speech-language pathology assistants.
